By the end of high school, many children today will have experienced the death of a parent, brother, sister, or other important person in their lives. These children often feel alone and keep their feelings to themselves. They don't want to burden others, or they simply feel they won't understand.
Grieving children are in dire need of support. Not getting support can have a negative impact on a child's health and well-being. Providing support for a grieving child can make the difference in whether they grow up with hope, confidence and emotional strength.
Please join the Funeral Service Foundation in its partnership with the National Alliance for Grieving Children, a network of hundreds of children's bereavement centers, programs and mental health professionals. NAGC member programs provide safe places where grieving children can share their experiences with professionals and other grieving children.
